Sermon Title: Grace in Action
Scripture: (Titus 3:12-15)
Series Big Idea: God unites and transforms believers in Christ’s Church
Sermon Big Idea: Grace transforms sinners into partners in God’s mission
Introduction
As our nation remembers its foundations of freedom and justice, we are reminded that even the best laws cannot produce truly changed hearts. Paul’s closing words to Titus show us that it is not rule-keeping but God’s grace that forms a people ready and able to participate in His mission.
Grace Compels Us to Support Kingdom Workers (v. 12-13)
When grace shapes us, supporting kingdom workers becomes more than a duty, it turns into a joyful partnership rooted in love for Christ and His mission. Paul urges the church to actively invest in gospel laborers, demonstrating that a congregation marked by grace doesn't leave anyone to serve alone but shares in both the burden and the blessing.
Grace Transforms Us Into a Community of Good Works (v. 14-15)
The grace of God not only changes individuals, but it creates a church eager to serve and meet the needs of others as a natural outflow of Christ’s work within. Rather than relying on rules to drive our action, grace fosters a community known for compassion and generosity, standing out in a needy world.
Conclusion
As we close our study of Titus, we see that grace, not rules, must be the engine that drives our life and witness as God's people. May our legacy as a church be defined by the visible outworking of God’s grace, seen in our devotion to good works and our support for one another, so that our community catches a glimpse of Christ through us.
