EASTER SUNDAY 2026

Sunday April 5, 2026

Sermon Title: At The Cross of Jesus No One Stays The Same

Scripture: (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Series Big Idea: Easter Sunday Sermon

Sermon Big Idea: The cross of Christ reveals God’s power or exposes our rejection

Introduction:

Every person must respond to the message of the cross of Christ. It never leaves anyone indifferent. On Easter Sunday, we ask why some see the cross as offensive, while others find in it the very power of God.

The Cross Divides (v. 18)

The message of the cross of Jesus collides head-on with worldly values, making it seem offensive or absurd to many. The cross confronts human pride by declaring we cannot save ourselves, exposing our need for God’s grace.

The Cross Transforms (v. 18)

For those who believe, the cross becomes the power of God, changing both identity and purpose. This gospel message doesn’t just deal with our past; it gives us hope and strength for every part of life.

Conclusion:

The cross draws a line through every life, demanding a response. On this Easter Sunday, we are invited not to turn away, but to embrace the saving and transforming power found in Jesus Christ alone.
