GRACE UNVEILED: THE DAWN OF REDEMPTION

Sunday October 26, 2025

Sermon Title: Sent By The Savior, Carried By His Peace

Series Big Idea: Emphasizing the culmination of God’s promises in Jesus and the Church’s mission

Sermon Big Idea: Jesus sends us to reveal the Father’s heart to the world, empowered by His risen presence

Introduction:

When the risen Jesus appeared to His fearful disciples, He spoke peace and issued a powerful commission. This encounter turned their fear into purpose and set the foundation for the church’s mission.

John 20:19-23

19 When it was evening on that first day of the week, the disciples were gathered together with the doors locked because they feared the Jews. Jesus came, stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 Having said this, he showed them his hands and his side. So the disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I also send you.” 22 After saying this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

Jesus, The Sent One, Reveals The Father (19-20)

Jesus was sent by the Father on a divine rescue mission, revealing God’s love and character through His life, death, and resurrection. His presence among the disciples and His wounds proved that God’s redeeming work was fully accomplished.

Jesus, The Sender, Commissions Us For His Mission (21-23)

Having accomplished His mission, Jesus now sends His followers to continue His work in the world. We are empowered by His peace and presence to serve, love, and share the hope of the gospel wherever we go.

Conclusion

As believers, we are not spectators but participants in God’s ongoing mission, sent as Christ’s representatives. No matter our fears or doubts, Jesus goes with us, guaranteeing His peace, power, and purpose will be with us every step of the way.
